For over 14 years, Sunstone Exteriors, formerly known as Affordable Pro Exteriors, has served the Cedar Rapids community. We are still the same company, run by the same people, just with a better name now! We recently rebranded to a name that reflects our quality of service and ethical operation better. We wanted to put more emphasis on the beauty and strength we offer our community. Our mission statement is to serve our friends and neighbors by delivering unparalleled quality in both materials and service. With a commitment to excellence, we not only enhance the aesthetics of our community but also fortify its resilience. Where Are We From?
Our team is born and bred here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dave Hernandez, the company owner, grew up here and graduated from La Salle High School. His wife and office manager, Tina, also grew up right here and graduated from Kennedy High School. Their daughters all still live in Cedar Rapids and attended Prairie and Jefferson High School followed by the University of Iowa. Our team loves our hometown and is proud to be here to help whenever needed. We support our community in many ways, from sponsoring local sports teams to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids, local churches, and Deafinitely Dogs.

How long have we been here?
We have been in operation since 2010. The hail and wind can be intense here in the Cedar Rapids area; sometimes, that takes its toll on our houses. We were here long before and during the derecho, the toughest storm we have faced in a long time, and we are here to stay. Most of our roofs we had replaced actually survived the derecho because of our 150 mph approved superior installation methods. We’re here for you with storm damage. Moreover, our service goes beyond the repair and replacement work.
